I'm Cole Jackson, founder of Jackson Group. We're a shipping brokerage based in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. We move freight worldwide from China and handle factory sourcing and quality control for 7- to 10-figure companies.

Why I came to China

Most western brands think they're buying from a factory. They're usually buying from a trading company: a middleman with a showroom, a website and a sales team, but no production line. The trading company places the order with a factory the brand never sees, adds its margin, and passes messages back and forth.

That costs brands in three places. They pay more per unit. They have no say over which factory makes their product or how. And when quality slips, the trading company can blame the factory while the brand has no way to check.

I moved here to cut that layer out. We work directly with the factories, on the ground, so our clients know who is making their product and what they are paying for it.

What we do for companies

Jackson Group gives brands one point of contact from the factory floor to the destination port. We connect them directly with vetted factories, check goods before they leave, and book and manage the freight. Our clients deal with one team that speaks their language, works to their standards and is in China every day.

Our model is a western mind with Chinese infrastructure. We run the business the way our clients expect a supplier to be run: clear pricing, straight answers and accountability. The factories, the warehouses and the network are here.

Where this is going

China-based logistics is fragmented. Thousands of small forwarders, trucking firms and warehouses each handle one piece of the journey, and none of them see the whole thing. My goal is to build one of the largest shipping companies in the world by connecting those pieces into a single operation on our own software.

Every client we take on now is part of that. The brands that ship with us today will be moving goods through the biggest network in China tomorrow.
